1) Our readers are actually super smart (you have to be to realize while you’re young that you need to pay attention to your finances, right?!). A few of the comments might sound a little strange to someone who already knows the ins-and-outs of personal finance because some of our readers haven’t had any prior exposure to personal finance. So they’re using this as a safe space to ask questions they might be afraid to ask elsewhere. And some of our readers aren’t native English-speakers. So they’re learning American-style personal finance while still working on their English language skills. Super admirable!

Isn’t it amazing how expensive rugs are?! Back in the day, most apartments were carpeted, so you didn’t really need to think about rugs, but now they’re a really expensive semi-essential. Congrats on your new place, Collins!
